Micro Hydel Power Station donated

Tamenglong Battalion under the aegis of Senapati Brigade of Red Shield Division donated complete necessary materials to set up a Micro Hydel Power Station at New Namtiram Vilage of Tamenglong District, a PIB (DW) press release stated.
Speaking on the occasion, Commandant, Tamenglong Battalion emphasised that the Red Shield Division is always there to help the local population and the Micro Hydel Power Station was a genuine effort to help people of the remote village.
The handing over ceremony was attended by Chairman and members of New Namtiram village.
The village council Chairman and members of New Namtiram village of Tamenglong Dist, on behalf of the New Namtiram village conveyed gratitude and lauded the efforts of the Red Shield Division in creating inroads into the hearts of the local populace within the state, it added.
On the other hand, The 38 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Red Shield Division organized a rural health and awareness camp at Aibulon village, Churachandpur District today.
The camp was organised to provide free medical cover and educate the local population on the importance of hygiene and sanitation.
A total of 173 patients were given free medical checkup and treatment including medicines during the medical camp, stated a press release of PIB (DW).
In another occasion, 10 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Red Shield Division conducted a Medical Camp for the people of Tupul and adjoining villages as part of Military Civic Action 'OP SADBHAVANA' today.
Wide publicity was given to facilitate the awareness of such a medical camp to all villages located in and around Tupul.
A total of 421 locals including adults, newborns and school going children from across the district were provided free medical treatment and free medicines.
Most of the people were found suffering from gastritis, worm infection, anemia, skin infection, respiratory tract infections, gynecological problems and many other disease were treated.
The camp was successfully organized with assistance of the village authority, elders of the village, Medical officers and para medical staff of 10 Assam Rifles, the release added.
