Imphal, December 01 2011:
A team of the Bharatya Janata Party (BJP) led by its National Leader Nitin Gadkari will be visiting Imphal to set off the campaign for the upcoming 10th Assembly election in the state.
According to a reliable source it has been revealed that a meeting was convened at the Party's office at Nityaipat Chuthek to discuss his visit to Imphal.
It was earlier decided that Nitin Gadkari's visit would be finaliserd on the 19th of this month.
But due to certain unavoidable circumstances it was requested to fix his visit on any convenient date between 19, 21 and 22 of this month.
The visit of the BJP President, Nitin Gadkari will be his first visit in the state and it has been also revealed that some of the opposition Members of Parliament will also be accompanying him.
The team will be present in a huge public meeting in Imphal where the campaign for the forthcoming 10th Assembly election will be set off.
The source further revealed that there will be a series of discussions among the opposition parties of the state during the visit and hopefully a decision for a coalition of all the opposition parties will be taken.
There have also been discussions among the MPP and the National Parties in the regard.
But since the Trinamool Congress has already decided to fight the election on its own, it is not been decided whether the National Leaders will approach the Trinamool Congress again.
Since the UPA government embroiled in all sorts of corruption in the Centre, with many of its leaders even sent to jail, the people fed up with the government and are looking for an option with the NDA as the first priority.
The people of the state should also co-operate with the party in bringing about this change, the source added.
