BJP to continue work in NE irrespective of poll results

Despite of poor support from people of North East towards the party, Bharatiya Janata Party BJP) has pledged to continue working for the development and welfare of North Eastern states of the country.
This was stated by BJP National President Nitin Gadkari while talking to a group of touring journalists from North East India at his Nagpur residence.
The tour was organised by BJP North East from April 20 to 22.The journalists' team comprising 14 from Manipur and seven from Arunachal Pradesh was taken to different places to witness the various developmental and welfare projects being taken up by BJP in Nagpur especially for farmers and marginal workers.
BJP Manipur Pradesh Media Affairs Secretary Laimayum Basanta also accompanied the journalists' team from Manipur.
Interacting with the touring media team at his residence, Nitin Gadkari said that he has been dedicating himself to uplift of economy, education and lifestyle of the people of the country since he was appointed as the Cooperative Minister of Maharashtra.
He further said that his party wants to show the people of NE states that there is no racial discrimination in its plans and projects to bring socio economic transition in the society.
Congress and other political parties have been trying to show BJP as a communal party which looks down on the minority groups.
However, it is far from reality.
One can clearly see how the party has been working for the welfare the people of Nagpur where people of different communities, tribes and Muslims reside.
Gadkari informed that the Purti Group is a group of BJP, which has been working for the upliftment of workers and farmers in Nagpur in order to prevent them from commiting suicide due to lack of proper earning and better lifestyle.
Today, Maharashtra is at the top of others states in the country in sugar production.
Besides, producing sugar by cultivating sugarcane, electricity, alcohol, Ethanol, Bio-Diesel, Bio-Fertiliser and petrol are also produced from the leaves and remains of sugarcane after sugar are extracted.
Power plants from rice husks and Soyabean husks are great initiatives towards a developed India.
It is to the credit of Purti Group and the party many homeless people in Nagpur are today living in their own homes.
Moreover, they are also providing a better lifestyle to the poor and jobless people by providing employment opportunities in various factories, he added.
Acknowledging the developmental works taken up by the party in Nagpur, journalists from Manipur asked about the possibility of party policy with regard to establishment of factories for sugarcane products in Northeast as well.
In reply, Gadkari said that BJP will do anything, which the people of NE propose to them for the development of the region.
It is the objective of BJP to bring forward the socio-economic condition of the country among the developed countries of the world and there is no question of being communal or regionalism.
The party has been providing financial assistances to many micro industries with the sole aim of a Shining India.
Besides, marketing facilities are provided by Purti Group to the entrepreneurs.
It does not matter whether people vote for them or not, he said.
Identifying himself as a social worker rather than a politician, Gadkari assured that his party would do its best to make India a super economic power in the world and work hard to improve the political system of the country.
Observing that North East India is a very resourceful region, the BJP National President further assured that his party would chalk out plans and projects to make maximum products from the available resources in the region while also paying attention to conservation of natural resources.
BJP is a strong political party which is committed and has a long vision.
BJP would surely come into power in the next Lok Sabha Election after which one can see a visible change in the development of the country.
The various projects being taken up in Nagpur would provide employment opportunities to around 50,000 people by next year.
Many such projects would also be taken up in other states, he added.
The media team visited homes of labourers at Butibori which were constructed by Purti Group; Purti Power & Sugar Ltd in Bela District; tea & Coffe Project; Mahatma Sugar & Power Ltd in Jamni District, Cotton Firms; Bio-fuel factories; Mahatma Sugar Factory and the Watershed Management Project at Tamaswada site.
