Imphal, May 11 2020:
Manipur State Council, All India Youth Federation (MSC, AIYF) has asked the State Government to inform the public about their plans to extract or evacuate remaining stranded Manipuris.
Manipuris stranded at different locations of the country, with limited resources and growing need, are eagerly waiting for their turns while those who have arrived to the State are facing a hard time as they are not getting the treatments the Government supposed to give them at the quarantine centres.
In a press statement, the federation pointed out that there is an inconsistency in the evacuation work of the State Government as a handful of people get easy way to return to State while many other left hapless and are concerned of their rising vulnerability.
The federation urged all concerned departments to communicate with their counterparts at different States and chalk out a proper plan to assist those stranded and bring them back to the State safely while appealing the State Government to immediately address the plights of those who have already arrived and being kept at different quarantine centres across the State.
AIYF also demanded the State Government to make public the details and basis of selection of the evacuees after they have been registered to www.tengbang.in and concerned MLAs.
