AR rescue six young men from 'recruiting' UGs

Troops of 29 Assam Rifles today claimed that they have rescued six youths from being recruited as cadres by the Zeliangrong United Force (ZUF).
They were intercepted on their way to Myanmar for training.
The six youths were travelling in a Maruti van yesterday and were intercepted around 2.30 pm at the Tengnoupal AR check post.
On questioning, it was found that they were newly recruited into ZUF and were being taken away for training in Myanmar.
They six youths were identified as Ganglinlung Riamei (18) son of Lungaiga Riamei of Awang bazar of Bishanpur, Khanglounggam Kamei (19) son of Lungan Kamei of Rengpang of Nungba in Tamenglong, Dihjenpau Pamei (18) son of Gaiding Pamei of Noney, Gaijangam Golmei (21) son of Gaishinlung Golmei of Tamenglong, D Winner Dengmai (20) son of Abuan Dengmai of Longmai and Maithiu Pau (27) son of Late Poubilung of Rangkhung.
They were handed over to Tengnoupal PS.
In yet another incident, troops of 29 Assam Rifles apprehended a Myanmar national from a Tata Sumo (MN 01K-7458) travelling without valid documents in Indian territory yesterday at its Tengnoupal post.
Kobir Ahammed (25) son of Late Wahidur Rehman of Aikiaf (Myanmar) was detained with two mobile phones and ' 1261 in indian currency and handed over to Tegnoupal PS, IGAR (S) said in a statement.
Meanwhile, troops of 23 AR in a joint operation with a team of Narcotic Control Bureau Regional Unit Imphal recovered 800 Kgs of Ganja from an abandoned Jhoom hut in Molnom yesterday.
