Imphal, December 07 2014: Noted playwright, theatre critic and columnist of The Sangai Express (Manipuri edition) Budha Chingtham's play, Mythical Surrender will be presented in Kabui language in this year's National Theatre Festival, organised by National School of Drama, in West Bengal.

The original version of the play, written by Budha Chingtham in Manipuri, had won the Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards (META) in three different categories in 2011 .

The play has also taken part in different International and National theatre festivals.

With an aim to promote Zeliangrong theatre, Star Repertory Theatre is set to take part in the National Theatre by reproducing the same play in Kabui language.

Translated and directed by Star Kamei, the play was premiered at Manipur Dramatic Union hall today.

The premiere function was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam.

The play will be presented at Adi Bimb in West Bengal on December 29 .
