COVID-19 : Kpi CSOs to extend maximum help to district administration

The local bodies of Kangpokpi District Headquarters met at the office chamber of ADC Sadar Hills Chairman today and deliberated ways to help the district administration combat the coronavirus outbreak in the district.
Chaired by Haokholal Hangshing, Chairman, ADC Sadar Hills, members of Kangpokpi Town Committee, Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization and Kangpokpi Youth Union in the presence of James Doujapao Haokip, Chief Executive Officer, SHADC Kangpokpi sat together to streamline the coordination with the district administration and law enforcement agency as requested by Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister, Nemcha Kipgen, who is also the district in-charge of Kangpokpi and Senapati.
Minister Nemcha Kipgen had chaired a joint meeting with the district administration, law enforcement agency and the local bodies to strengthen and streamline coordination among the people to combat the pandemic COVID-19 in the district yesterday at Conference Hall, DC office Kangpokpi.
The meeting today reviewed the prevailing situation in the district, home quarantine status, regulation of markets/shops.
During the meeting, ADC Sadar Hills Chairman, Haokholal Hangshing called on all to unite as one against the disease.
"Now time has come for all to unite and help one another to face the highly contiguous disease COVID-19," he said.
He also exhorted that the local bodies should be more vigilant and render maximum and best support to the district administration and all frontline workers in the fight against coronavirus.
With regards to essential commodities, the ADC Sadar Hills Chairman that the local leaders should play exemplary roles to ensure no one suffers from hunger during the lockdown.
Anticipating large influx of local population who are now stranded in other cities, if the lockdown end, he called for stringent precautionary measures to avoid the disease and keep the number of COVID-19 cases in the district zero.
