Family decry killing by CF

The person who was killed by combined forces of Imphal West Commandos and 10 AR near Don Bosco School, Phayeng has been identified and the family members condemning the brutal act of the CF has said that he went out of the house carrying a sum of Rs 30,000 to buy sand and gravel.
The deceased person has been identified as one Wahengbam Jayenta (42) s/o W Heitomba of Kumbi Kangjeibung Mapal, presently staying at a rented house at Sayang Kurao Makhong.
According to his family members, Jayenta went out in a TVS Access, without registration number on it, along with a sum of Rs 30,000. It was later informed to the family that he was abducted by unknown persons.
When he was contacted on the phone by his daughter he told her daughter that he would not be coming home and also not to ring him up again before hanging up the phone.
When his daughter rang up again, his mobile phone was switched off.
His wife registered a complaint to the police station at around 7:30 pm yesterday.
A JAC was formed today against the killing of Wahengbam Jayenta and a memorandum was also submitted to the Chief Minister.
The demands include taking up judicial inquiry, to abstain from accepting the dead body before coming to an amicable solution and also to conduct video coverage during the post mortem.
