Students' bodies line up series of agitation for Loitam Richard

Six students' bodies of the State�AMSU, MSF, DESAM, KSA, SWAK and SUK have lined up a series of agitation to demand fitting punishment to cul-prits involved in the murder of Loitam Richard.
Speaking to the media today at the AMSU office, Thokchom Suraj, president of AMSU lambasted that the State Government has been allegedly neglecting to take any action against the murderers of Richard Loitam.
Stating that the students' bodies are pained by the alleged attitude of the State Government, Suraj said they would launch statewide agitation to demand action against the culprits.
He said if no positive response is received from the Government by May 3 regarding the killing of Richard Loitam, the students' bodies would organ ise sit-ins at all schools on May 4 .
Human chains would be formed in every school on May 5 and a mass protest rally of students would be organised on May 7, Suresh said.
He further said that all Government offices would be picketed on May 8 if no positive response comes till then.
It may be mentioned that Richard Loitam, a student of B Arch at Acharya's NRV School of Architecture, Bangalore was found dead inside his hostel room on April 18 in a suspicious manner.
Speaking at the press meet, Arambam Thoithoi, secretary of DESAM warned that if the government fails to pay heed to the demands after all the democratic agitations, the students' bodies would not hesitate to launch other forms of intense agitations.
