Imphal, May 22 2013 :
Alleging police insincerety in delivering justice in connection with the killing of Tongbram Sunil of Takyel Kolom Leikai, wife of the deceased, Tongbram (O) Dolly has urged the concerned authority to bring justice without any further delay.
Speaking to media persons today at Manipur Press Club, Tongbram (O) Dolly lamented that no end of justice is indicated even over four months after the killing of her husband.
Keeping aside arresting the culprits involved in the killing, the post mortem report of T Sunil has not been given to the family.
The mother of Sunil, Ibohal Devi had urged the State DGP and SP (Imphal West on March 1 and 4 respectively to provide the post mortem report of Sunil, Dolly rued.
A lumberman, T Sunil left his house to buy assorted paraphernalia for his work on Jan 21 this year.
The same day around 5 pm, police had informed the family that he was found dead at Moirang Leirak Machin.
Surprisingly, the two-wheeler vehicle he drove and Rs 5000, which he took from home were missing.
Even as police attributed the cause of the death as 'overdose,' family members and locals refused to accept the claim.
They suspected that he was murdered since there were highly suspicious marks on the dead body of Sunil.
The Activa which he drove on the fateful day was recovered near the residence of one Yaima of Sagolband Moirang Leirak Matribam Leikai on Jan 23 .
Categorically asserting that her husband was a teetotaller, Dolly flatly refused that he died of overdose.
She demanded the post mortem report be made available to the family so as to ascertain whether her husband had died of overdose or was being killed.
Highlighting the traumatic experiences endured so far by the family members, Dolly strongly urged the authority concerned to thoroughly probe the matter for the sake of justice.
