Visually impaired mother, son admitted to JMMS, family praise prompt action

Bishnupur, February 19 2019:
One Laishram (o) Thoibi, w/o Laishram Basanta who is visually impaired and bed ridden for so many years along with her son laishram Roshan, who is also visually impaired were admitted to JNIMS hospital today to carry out necessary treatment.
Nongthombam Boy, Advisor to CM Dr RK Ranjan along with JNIMS Medical Superintendent L Ranbir and staff visited Thoibi's house, under the directive of Chief Minister N Biren today to take stock of the condition of the family and admitted the mother and the son to JNIMS later.
Nongthombam Boy and Boryangbi Gram Panchayat Pradhan Thiyam Binokumar also extended aid to the family as well, reports our correspondent.
Chief Minister Advisor Dr RK Ranjan lauded media for covering stories of the deprived section of the society and making such stories reach the ears of the Government.
He further appealed the media to cover such more stories in the future too.
Nongthombam Boy, who is also the brother of CM N Biren, assured to extend all possible aid to the family and also built a new house within 15 days.
Meanwhile, JNIMS Medical Superintendent L Ranbir further assured that the staff at the hospital will tend to the mother and son until all necessary treatment is rendered to them.
Laishram Roshan, who is appearing the HSLC exam from tomorrow, has expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister on extending aid and giving him the hope and chance to see.
The family has lost almost all their properties including farm lands in the expense of treatment and their story came into light when the locals appealed to provide treatment to the family through TOM TV .
