Separate OPD for fever in every hospital

A meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Dr J Suresh Babu today afternoon, reviewed the measures taken up by the State Health Department to combat and prevent spread of Covid-19 in the State, apart from resolving to ensure establishment of a separate OPD for patients with fever in every hospital of the State.
Meanwhile, a man who arrived at Imphal from Guwahati this evening has been taken to a hospital as he showed symptoms similar to those of COVID-19.A sample has been already collected from the man for necessary test.
The meeting held at the Old Secretariat conference hall was attended by heads of departments concerned, officials of Health Department and private hospitals as well as officials of RIMS and JNIMS.
The meeting resolved to set up a separate OPD for fever patients and isolation wards in every hospitals to combat COVID-19, apart from deliberating on the need to maintain proper protocol and procedures in case any individual from any of the affected Indian States come for treatment to any of the hospitals of Manipur.
On the other hand, the price hike and unavailability of masks and hand sanitizers in the market were also discussed and it was resolved to stock up the needed items at the earliest.
