Imphal, January 15, 2011:
Flawed policies of the Union government have led to animosities among different communities which have surfaced visibly.
Without a solution, all states in the NE will be reduced to ashes, said MLA RK Anand today.
Speaking to media persons in a function held at his residence to discuss achievements in the last four years in Naoriya Pakhanglakpa A/C, RK Anand said that Manipur is in a difficult juncture and needs public representatives to rise with a sense of integrity.
Expressing serious concern over the communal ill feelings, RK Anand said a journey of reconciliation is the need of the hour not only for Manipur but also for the whole the NE.
If the sense of oneness disappears then the future holds no hopes for the indigenous people, particularly of the state.
RK Anand said that there are only four to five MLAs to discuss the issue seriously.
Anand said responsibilities of MLAs also cover planning out methods to solve the prevailing problems.
In view of the prevailing situation, he appealed to the people of the state to choose their representatives with introspection.
As a politician he aims to bring a solution to the current political imbroglio in the state.
People of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa have entrusted him with a vision , Anand said.
If the people wishes to appeal to the United Nations, he will lead from the front, he said.
Anand said that political parties are two faced.
If a party emerges as the majority in a term they may fall in the other term.
Being an opposition MLA is also good to many ways.
RK Anand appealed to the people to elect him in the coming election.
A booklet of nine pages which includes developmental works in the constituency in the past four years was also released.
