Radhabinod calls for unity

Former Chief Minister Radhabinod Koijam today urged the people of the state to stand united and fight against the challenges before the unity and harmonious living of the different communities of the state.
The NCP Manipur unit president appealed to the people not to believe in the propaganda being spread in the state from the neighbouring states.
He was speaking as chief guest at a function held at the official quarters of Saikul MLA Doukhongmang in connection with the felicitation of students of Saikul A/C who cleared the HSLC exam 2011 in first division.
For strengthening the integrity of the state, all sections of the people settling in the state should love their motherland, Manipur.
People should ignore the instigations of others, Radhabinod said.
To form a greater Nagaland by breaking Manipur is a dream which will never come true.
Everybody needs to understand this, he said.
He also advised the elders not to inject the poison of communal mindedness to the young students.
Instead, human resources of the students should be developed so that they could protect themselves from being brainwashed by vested interests, he said.
Only those who are well educated do best for their motherland and do good for the society.
So, today's students need to be imparted a good education.
In the fast developing trend in the globe, one community should not think of its own.
The knowledge one has earned should be invested in taking up welfare work of the society, Radhabinod said.
Radhabinod praised Doukhongmang Khongsai of NCP as a good legislator.
MLA Doukhongmang, asserted that most of the people living in Saikul A/C are under the BPL (Below Poverty Line).
He praised the parents and guardians of the 300 students who passed in first division in the HSLC exam 2011 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur.
He advised the students who attended the function that they should take a major role in protecting the territorial integrity of Manipur.
