National seminar held

A seminar on 'Biotechnology intervention in Horticultural development' was held today at Central Agricultural University (CAU), Iroishemba, as a part of the National Seminar which began from yesterday.
Speaking at the seminar, Horticulture HoD and Organising Secretary W Ingo said, "The seminar has been organised in order to teach the farmers how to use increase the fertility of the land using the correct horticultural techniques and how to increase their yields" .
He pointed out that with the help of the seminar, experts from different parts of the country can come and present their findings in order to help the farmers.
Ingo said, " Farmers will be able to maximise their profit if they use polyhouse to produce good quality and high demand horticultural produce.
It is necessary to make the farmers aware of the latest agricultural technologies" .
With the help of the seminar, farmers will be exposed to the latest agricultural techniques and tools in order to bring rapid development in the field of agriculture, he added.
