Senapati, March 07 2013:
The Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) in an open statement has appealed the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and Staff Selection Commission of India (SSC-NE region) to extend the date of the ongoing SSC Constable (GD) recruitment Test held at Keithelmanbi.
Maintaining that many candidates could not appear the said SSC test as it collided with the ongoing Matric, Class XI and Class XII examinations in the State, the SDSA, in the general interest of the student's community earnestly appealed the concerned authority to extend the date to facilitate maximum candidates who wish to appear the recruitment test after their board examinations.
The SDSA has also appealed to the State Government especially the Home Department to intervene into the matter to promote maximum job opportunities among young aspirants.
"It is in students' interest in a unemployment hit state like Manipur, the State Government should consider immediate action to assist students to appear the SSC examination," the SDSA said.
