Man succumbs to injury

Imphal, May 16 2012:
A man has succumbed to injury today at Shija Hospital after he was allegedly bludgeoned by unidentified miscreants near Heijang Lok (Leingang) under Moirang Police Station in Bishnupur district.
According to police source, a watchman of a newly developed botanical garden of PY College, Senpangjar along Moirang-Khousabung Road, identified as Wareppam Shyamkishore (50) was found lying unconcious in the morning of May 14 near his garden.
Shyamkishore, who hails from Sunusiphai Mayai Leikai, left his home early morning of May 13 to work at the PY College botanical garden, family said.
He was found lying in unconcious state near the botanical garden the next morning.
He was immediately rushed to the Bishnupur District Hospital who was later referred to RIMS, JNIMS and Shija Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries this morning.
Along with the conduct of an autopsy at RIMS morgue on the dead body today, a case has been registered at Moirang Police Station.
Family members demanded the arrest of the culprits and delivery of fitting punishment against them in order to avoid unwanted outcome.
