Imphal, August 03 2014:
KCP-MC (Nongdrenkhomba group) celebrated their 7th raising day at their designated camp of Moirang Khunou, Bishnupur district today.
Notably, the outfit has already signed an MoU with the State Government and the Government of India.
KYKL-MDF chairman Athouba Meitei, KCP-MC commander-in-chief Nongdrenkhomba Meitei and URF home secretary Puyam Ruhinikumar attended the function as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
In commemoration of the 7th raising day, the outfit organised blood donation camp, presentation of mementos to Meira Paibis, felicitation of National Karate Championship participants and tree plantation.
Speaking at the occasion, Nondrenkhomba said that the outfit was set up on August 3, 2007 with a view to join the liberation movement.
Now the outfit has signed an MoU with the Government and efforts are on to initiate political dialogue.
On account of dissension and difference of opinion among revolutionary leaders, there were many instances where revolutionary groups split into different factions.
Taking advantage of the growth of several factions, reactionary elements indulged in all kinds of anti-social activities including killing, extortion and abduction for earning easy money for their personal aggrandisement.
Such practices turned out to be serious to the party's image and reputation.
Taking serious note of these challenges, the outfit came to the negotiating table with a view to establish an egalitarian society, Nongdrenkhomba said.
The connotation of service for the nation and the masses can be restricted to armed revolution only.
Working for the people in accordance to the people's pulse and aspiration is also a kind of serving the nation, he asserted.
