Chakkouba greetings

Deputy Chief Minister and Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee President Gaikhangam has extended greetings to the people of the State on the occasion of Ningol Chakkouba festival.
In his message, Gaikhangam said that the festival not only symbolises the bond of love between brothers and sisters but also signifies the sense of women upliftment in the Manipuri society.
Ningol Chakkouba has boosted unity in the State as people from hill areas and other communities have joined valley people in celebrating the festival.
Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai also extended greetings to the people, especially to the daughters of the State, on the occasion.
She wished that the festival brings development, harmony, peace and prosperity in the State.
Extending his greetings the people of the State, MP Dr T Meinya said that the festival reminds the bond of affection between brothers and sisters.
Manipur Baptist Convention also greeted the people of the State on the occasion.
In their message, MBC said., "It is our earnest prayer that as we shower our love to our sisters, we strengthen the bond of love and unity among all the families as well.
We also pray that the celebration may bring peace, progress and prosperity among all communities of Manipur.
Communist Party of India, Manipur State Council, United Committee Manipur (UCM), National Identity Protection Committee (NIPCO), All Manipur Muslims (Meitei Pangal) Welfare Association, United Manipur Muslim Women Development Organisation and All Manipur Nupi Marup also extended their greetings on the occasion.
