Road Safety Week

Traffic Control Police, Imphal West will observe the Road Safety Week from January 9 to 15 on the theme "Year of Giving Awareness to the People" .
Giving awareness to the vehicle associations, school/colleges, children homes/orphan homes and driving schools will be the main highlight of the observation.
In connection with the Road Safety Week, the TCP/IW is organising a slogan competition on the theme "Road Safety and Traffic Control Awareness.
The slogan must be in English and should not be more than 20 words.
It should be submitted to Traffic Control Police, Imphal West, MG Avenue or emailed to [email protected].
For more details, one may contact telephone number 9856004604.The last date of slogan submission is January 15.With the aim to create awareness on road safety to the people especially youth, TCP I/W under the leadership and guidance of Deputy SP (Traffic) IW Rattana Ngasepam and TI-TCP/IW-O Dorendro Singh conducted special traffic drives at different places.
Two special mass drives were performed on December 31, 2016 and January 1 last wherein a huge amount of Rs 1, 78, 400 were collected as fines from the defaulters.
The TCP/IW also distributed sweets, T-shirts and books on road safety.
