Citing a series of inconveniences and hindrances faced by Tamenglong Autonomous District Council (ADC) Members due to non-devolution of power while discharging duties, the Chairman of Tamenglong ADC has urged the State Government for decentralization of power.
In an interaction with The Sangai Express at Tamenglong ADC headquarters, Chairman Namsinrei Panmei expressed his discontentment over the State Government's failure to respect the responsibilities of the elected representatives.
He said that the Cabinet's decision to decentralize power and responsibilities to the elected Autonomous District Council Members should be respected by the Chief Minister.
