The 3rd raising day of the Komrem People's Army (KRPA) was celebrated today at its unit-II camp located in Senapati district.
Speaking on the occasion, the outfit's information and publicity secretary Rakesh Kom expressed gratitude to the people for their assistance and cooperation towards the activities of the party.
He also appealed for further assistance to the party.
Rakesh Kom elucidated that the KRPA was established with the objective to unite Komrem people who have been settling separately in different places of the State, bring peace and development in the State, safeguard integrity of Manipur and protect Komrem people and their land.
Saying that KRPA has no enmity with any individual/group and that it has not made any monetary demand from the people, Rakesh Kom stated that the outfit would deal strictly if any body tries to misuse its name.
On behalf of the KRPA, the information and publicity secretary offered salute to all those who have laid down their lives for sovereignty of Manipur.
Clarifying that there is no post of secretary or chairman in the party which is run by a Military council, Rakesh Kom expressed surprise over the reported statement of police that some of the Komrem social workers they pulled up were the outfit's chairman and secretary.
He further clarified that the Komrem social workers arrested by police were not related to the KRPA in any manner.
