Imphal, October 30 2014 :
A nursing student was abandoned at a remote location after being allegedly raped.
The girl has been missing since October 26 and it was only today that family members came to know of her whereabouts after being informed by villagers who had rescued the girl and admitted her to RIMS hospital.
The villagers found her abandoned at an isolated village located 20 kms from Wangjing.
A reliable source informed that the girl, a 21 year old BSc 2nd year nursing student studying in a college at Imphal, went missing from her home at Bishnupur district.
The victim today told media persons that she alongwith Naoba who is known to her for three months had a refreshment together in a hotel at Imphal on October 26 morning.
Thereafter the two went towards Andro in a car.
While proceeding towards Andro, Naoba pretended that the car had developed a snag and he drove to some other unknown destination, threw away her cellphone and finally drove to a house.
The victim continued that on the next day Naoba took her to a remote hilly village where she came to know from the villagers that Naoba was a married man.
On the other hand the victim's father said that they suspected the girl had eloped and were waiting for a response from the opposite party as is the custom on October 27 .
However since nothing could be confirmed they lodged a missing report at Bishnupur police station.
The victim's father urged the authorities concerned to take immediate action against Naoba.
