MSCP demands modification of State Industrial Policy

Stating that the Manipur Industrial Policy is outdated, the Manipur State Congress Party (MSCP) has demanded the modification of the policy in tune with the time.
Talking to media persons at the Sagolband's residence of MSCP MLA, RK Imo, the legislature wing leader of MSCP, MLA Karam Thamarjit said he would table the matter in the coming monsoon session of the Assembly.
Suggesting that rationalisation of industrial policy after identifying a focus area would pay dividend, he said that setting up of a bamboo industry in Tamenglong or fish industry in Bishnupur would go along way in achieving the desired results.
Thamarjit said the opening of an RBI branch in the State would be a boon for International trade and businessmen adding that the the same has been already opened in Tripura.
Taking part at the occasion, MLA RK Imo conveyed disapproval over the shabby condition of JNMDA auditorium while demanding immediate repairing of the auditorium which serves as a platform for the State's performing artists.
Further, Imo suggested that constituting a committee of the MLAs to monitor conditions of National Highways in the State would result in the improvement of the highways.
