18 positive; for those entering/returning to Manipur...Negative Covid report mandatory from Apr 18

Negative RT-PCR/TrueNat/CB-NAAT COVID-19 test report will be made mandatory from April 18 for all persons entering Manipur, whether by air or road, and irrespective of place of origin.
Health and Family Welfare Deputy Secretary Soiminlian Lengen has issued an order to this effect today.
According to the same order, the COVID-19 negative test report should be taken within 72 hours before arrival in Manipur.
Further, all Army/CAPF units have been instructed to arrange for COVID-19 testing of their personnel entering Manipur.
Meanwhile, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in the State has climbed to 141 after 18 persons including three personnel of CAPF were tested positive at RIMS, Shija Hospital, Maipakpi Hospital, Mother's Care Hospital, Raj Medicity, Asian Hospital, Babina Diagnostics, Escent Diagnostics and Churachandpur.
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, the 15 civilians who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal West (8), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (1), Kakching (1), Churachandpur (3) and Kangpokpi (1) .
On the other hand, 10 COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 2 hours from home isolation (6), Shija Hospital (3) and CAPF (1), and there was no report of COVID related death which means the death toll stands at 376 .
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,579 (general population 26,119 and Central security personnel 3,460) .
This figure includes 141 active cases (general population 123 and Central security personnel 18) and 29,062 recovered cases (general population 25,624 and Central security personnel 3,438) .
The recovery rate as on Thursday is 98.25 per cent.
Air passengers who came to the State on April 12 by Bangalore to Imphal on Indigo flight 6E-172 in rows 16-22 and April 13 by Delhi to Imphal on Air India flight AI-0889 in rows 16-22 have been informed to contact the COVID-19 Common Control Room on 18003453818 or respective District Surveillance Officers immediately.
