Active cases go down to 77 : Low count continues with only 7 positive

Imphal, February 09 2021:
As the number of daily fresh infections continue to fall, the number of active COVID-19 cases has also reduced to 77 .
Only 7 persons tested positive for COVID-19 while 15 persons recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.
The recovery rate stands at 98.45 percent.
The total number of Covid positive cases has reached 29,137 while the cumulative number of recovered cases has climbed to 28,687 .
With zero deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll remains at 373 .
So far, 11,024 frontline workers including 10,648 healthcare workers have been vaccinated.
1,078 persons got shots of the Covid vaccine today, said Government COVID-19 Common Control Room.
Meanwhile, the 7 persons who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours include 6 civilians and one personnel of Central Armed Police Force.
They tested positive for COVID-19 at testing facilities at Shija Hospital (3), Escent Diagnostics (1), Raj Medicity (1), Churachandpur (1) and Senapati (1) .
The 6 civilians (2 males and 4 females) hail from Senapati (2), Imphal East (1), Imphal West (1), Thoubal (1) and Kakching (1), said the Government report on Covid issued by Additional Director (Health) Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
On the other hand, 15 people have recovered from the disease.
While 12 of them recovered at home, the remaining 3 have been discharged from COVID-19 care Centres opened at JNIMS, RIMS and SHRI.
The cumulative number of Covid positive cases has reached 29,137 including 25,707 civilians and 3,430 Central security personnel.
The cumulative number of recovered cases has reached 28,687 including 25,272 civilians and 3,415 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases is 77 including 66 civilians and 11 Central security personnel, said the report.
