Women's place in a society
is a parameter to measure the degree of development

Last week I was searching about violence against in Google search, one thing in the search shocked me; that sanaleibak Manipur is in the 4th position of high violence domestic incidence.
46% of women are brutally assaulted by their husbands in the form of slapping, kicking, abusing, beaten by wood piece, etc. It is really shameful to the people of Manipur as we are living in the 21st century and this kind of uncivilized manner by men tells us how much we are under-developed, uneducated and illiterate.
In comparison to the men let's see what kind of reaction women has.
Do you think they strike back same as men? No they don't do that 41% of woman surveyed thinks it is justified and that it is OK when brutally assaulted by their husbands.
How kind-hearted they are opposed to men. How unfortunate it is to be born as woman in Manipur.
If we cannot dignified our women then how we can we expect 'outside people' to respect our women. Consider girls who are living on thier own in Delhi in the form of paying quest, rent and hostels who are are far and free from their guardian.
Family hailing form Manipur have alleged that some unidentified man molested them while they going to attend fresher's meet at North Campus.
The girls alleged that the accused persons were appearing for recruitment of Police's Constable at Kingsway camp, while speaking to Times of India, they have approached Mukherjee Nagar police station but no action has been taken on their complainant and finally an FIR lodged in DU molestation case.
See even the police dont take the circumstance seriously. In practicality, we are all most different in physical features, living style and kind of food we eat from non-Manipuri.
India is democracy country but there is bit of discrimination when it comes in caste, creeds, religion, sex etc. so what we get from this we have to love, respect, protective and supportive to women.
One question to the people of Manipur: is it their mistake? My opinion is in this is totally no.
Tell me about your opinion at the e-mail id: lenin_yumnam(at)yahoo(dot)com . Let us come to the stages of woman's life.
First she is born as a baby, as she grows up and becomes a young girl many responsibilities and restrictions come in her live which she has to follow very carefully. If one step goes wrong she may suffer for whole life, but this is not applicable to a man.
When time comes for marriage, she has to leave her dear parents, sisters, brothers, own house, in fact almost everything, and adapt to a new house with responsibilities of spouse and his family.
Then as a mother, a women has to bring up her children to become a successful person in life. If unfortunately she makes one mistake
then she is thrown out from the house.
See the tolerance and capacities of a woman. So we really have to appreciate them.
WOMAN stands for:
W: wise
O: obliging
M: magnanimous
A: aesthetic
N: neat
So woman is having experience, knowledge, and good judgment, morally bound to do service in favor, forgiving towards less powerful person, concerned with beauty and pleasing appearance make everything around us orderly and neat demonstrating skill and efficiency.
I forgot to mention that in a family if the father and mother's relation is not good, small fights occur between spouses which affect their children mentality and cruelty divert their attention and feel loneliness.
One message to parents also: life is short take care of each other and love each other very much
