Woke Up, But You're Nowhere
Manoj Pukhrambam *
When the stars are teeming bright
And the sky is filled with moonlight
How I wish to hold and love you
How I wish to kneel and embrace you.
There lies a broken strait betwixt us
I can seldom be near you, thus
A bad dream lurks in my sleep always
If I may not be with you all days
The path we had trod and it's sand
Holding the little fingers of your hand
Am I so cruel to leave you behind
Is my love for my deary so blind.
Waking up in the middle of the night
Realising you are out of my sight
I search for you here and there
But I can't find you anywhere
(Dedicated to my little daughter )
