West to east, cyclists choose NE to spread peace

A group of cyclists from Maharashtra has embarked on a tour through the hilly terrain of some northeastern states to reach out to the youth of the region with a message of peace.
Jointly organised by Swanand Adventures and Sarhad, two Pune-based social organisations, the Call of the Brahmaputra, as the rally has been christened, left Imphal with a pledge to work together with the rest of the country for a peaceful, strong and progressive Northeast. Manipur chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh flagged off the cycle rally from his official bungalow in Imphal this morning.
