Nagaland Post | Imphal, March 22
With pre-monsoon rain yet to appear, Manipur is likely to hit by water scarcity and the situation may be worsened, as meteorological report predicts no rainfall in the next couple of days.
Hills areas of the state had been the worst hit by the non-advent of the pre-monsoon rainfall and terraced cultivation practised widely in the hill districts of the State is likely to be abandoned this season. Even as end of the March is approaching, there was no sign of pre-monsoon rainfall which normally happens in February and March.
