Unity key to Naga peace process: Ravi
The Telegraph | H. Chishi | Kohima, Dec 8
The "fractured" Naga society is the biggest stumbling block to working out an early settlement of the Indo-Naga "political problem" and a major concern for the Centre. Making the admission here today, Centre's interlocutor for talks with the NSCN (I-M), R.N. Ravi, asked the people of the state not to lose hope, but continue to strive for peace and unity among themselves.
The "biggest challenge before the Centre is to forge unity among Naga groups. The extreme concern is that Naga society is divided," he said, adding, "I have reason to hope that unity is not impossible". He said any decision on the final accord would be broad-based and inclusive of all Naga insurgent groups and overground people. "Our approach is inclusive," he added.
