It’s a win-win situation. You win if you lose and you win if you gain. Imphal-based Apunba Fitness Centre’s unique competition — the 1st Apunba Fitness Centre Transformation Challenge — to lose and gain weight has attracted nearly 100 contestants from Manipur. The contestants should either reduce weight or increase weight within three months. The final measurements of the contestants, which includes 29 women, would be taken in October and cash prizes given to winners.
Those who can maintain the best “standard size” weight, according to their age and height within three months, will be declared winners.“This is a first-of-its-kind competition in the country and the main idea behind this is to build a better and healthier society. Our objective is to make everyone healthy,” Yumnam Hemlet Singh, 35, the man behind the project and owner of the fitness centre, told The Telegraph.
The heaviest competitor is 109 kg while the lightest one is 49 kg. Both are men.
