Two Kuki rebels held in Dima Hasao

Assam Rifles personnel nabbed two militants belonging to Kuki Liberation Army (KLA) following an encounter with the Manipur-based militant outfit from a village near Haflong, the headquarters of Dima Hasao district on Sunday evening.
Haflong police station OC Shanku Sargiari said the arrested rebels have been identified as KLA "tax commander" Lethao Lienthang, 40, and Sehchon Simsong, 38. They are residents of Sangpijang village. Four guns, a pistol and some ammunition were found on them. tnn
