Trade team on Northeast tour

Twenty-eight businessmen from Thailand and Malaysia arrived here today in 15 cars and three bikes on a five-nation tour to explore business prospects. The team left Imphal for Assam in the afternoon.
The trip named Historical Friendship Caravan began from Maesot in Bangkok on June 17 and will end in the same place on July 13, after passing through India, Myanmar, Bhutan and Nepal. The team entered Manipur from Myanmar through the state’s border township of Moreh last afternoon and left for Imphal this morning.
