Times of India | TNN | Aug 22, 2011, 12.33PM IST
In a significant and historic declaration, three Naga underground factions on Saturday pledged to reunite and declared that they have reconciled. The declaration was signed by Isak Chisi Swu, chairman of NSCN (IM), S Singnya, president of Naga National Council and Khole Konyak, chairman of NSCN (Khole).
"We would like to collectively express our apology to the Naga people for all the wrongs we have committed in the course of the Naga struggle. Henceforth, we declare that we have reconciled before God and fellow human beings and in this spirit of reconciliation we are persuaded to understand each other and work towards a shared Naga future on the foundation of our historical and political rights."
