The reality we live today
Sophie M Kikon *
Empty street ruled towards the rusted city.
Innocent blood paints the road!
Peace treaty, hope and amity ;
Beautifully decorated, rolled in load.
Cries, crawls, the handicapped youths.
Magnificence, celebration a Petty facade
Dark, deep, dreadful truths.
Jolly suburb, cheerful hello, been a decade.
Pollution , Population- mainstream issue
Lost child, broken family, only a drama?
Organizations with loose mouth, need a tissue?
An unborn child already in trauma.
Tall buildings, is that your only dream?
Fences in colors, bridges in sorrow
Meetings flowing like a hopeless stream.
Change is coming, a vow so hollow.
Alas! The sheer lies dressed in fancy.
Just get the halo, liars parading in white.
I, the commoner, the proxy soul write democracy.
A last lamp burning, will it be doused by roaring tide?
