TODAY -
The lady who climbs Everest
Telegraph | Imphal, June 20 2011
It was an arduous climb but the thrill of scaling Mount Everest twice in a span of 10 days was the balm. This is how Anshu Jamsenpa, a beaming 32-year-old, recollects what she could or could not feel on the way to the top of the world.
Jamsenpa, a native of Bomdila in West Kameng district, was speaking at the reception accorded to the three-member Team Arunachal Mt Everest Expedition at Hotel Imphal by the Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association today.
The two other members of the team are Tine Mina and K. Romeo Meitei. Romeo is also in charge of the adventure cell of the Arunachal Pradesh government.
