The Setting Sun
Jitendra Kumar Singh*
Some of them with guns in hand
Some of them for a piece of land
Some in the name of motherland
come with demand letter in hand
Of mother and land they make fun
They’re the root of the setting sun
Odd is the tale of pen in this land
It is 50-50 though license in hand
Ruling party with words so neat
Opposition party with promises sweet
Some are eagerly waiting to vote
Or they are waiting for a 500 note
No, they are waiting for next election
Call it election or blind selection!
What does it matter...justt
ten bucks down, cops are owned.
Some are imprisoned in highway jail
Some of them are enjoying the hell
Some of them impatient on road
Some of them like to play god
Some of them busy in price hike
One of them on hunger strike
Some open cases of murder and rape
Some closed files of encounter fake
Some are struggling with AFSPA act
Some of them keep lawlessness intact
If on the peak is crime and violence
Then great citizens of the great Nation
Why is this silence, why is this silence?
