Sumi Hoho opposes Gaidinliu memorial construction, Heraka
Nagaland Post | Dimapur, Sept 8 -
Sumi Hoho (SH) has strongly opposed the construction of Gaidinliu Museum-cum-Library Hall in Kohima, stating that the people of Nagaland “cannot accept Gaidinliu as our religious leader”. SH president, Toniho Yepthomi and general secretary Vihuto Asumi in a press note stated that “her Heraka cult was unacceptable as it was blasphemous to our faith and belief”.
“It is well known fact to the people of Nagaland that she has contributed nothing to the people of Nagaland rather, she has taken lives”, the hoho stated. It said that the move to construct her memorial and to erect her statues/portraits was an anti-Naga move that has deeply hurt the sentiments of the indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland.
