Study on skill to boost job chance

The National Skill Development Corporation is carrying out a skill-gap analysis in the Northeast. The study will find out the skills available in different states of the Northeast and recommend some with a view to enhance employability through formal employment, self-employment and creation of livelihood opportunities.
The corporation is the first-of-its-kind public-private partnership in the country to facilitate skill development.
The corporation has joined hands with the Union ministry of youth affairs for a youth employability project, which was inaugurated in Manipur recently. The project will train youngsters to boost their chances of finding jobs or starting their own enterprises. Nearly 8,000 youths will benefit from it .
