Students' dual agitations hit traffic on NH-37, NH-102 in Manipur

Students sponsored shutdown against alleged government indifferences towards fulfilling their long pending demands paralyzed normal vehicular movement on two national highways in Manipur. Owing to the separate shutdowns normal vehicular movement on Imphal-Jiribam section of NH-37 and Imphal-Moreh section of NH-102 (Trans Asia Highway no. 1) were severely hit on Thursday.
The vehicular movement on NH-37 was disturbed with the commencement of a 10-day total shutdown strike in Jiribam, Manipur’s border town called by Jiribam branch of the All Manipur Students’ Union. The normal vehicular movement on NH-102 has been disturbed with the commencement of a five-day total bandh on this section of the highway called by Student’s Union of Mission Blind School, Heikakpokpi (Chandel district).
