'Smuggling of arms into NE a cause for concern'

Even though the intensity of militant activities in the State has gone down, smuggling of sophisticated weapons from abroad continues to be a concern for security forces.
This was conceded by Colonel KS Brar of Indian Army’s Red Horns Division during a ‘Media Fraternisation Exercise’ organised at Rangiya today.
“Easy availability and movement of weapons in the North East is very much present, something which needs to be controlled,” Colonel Brar said while giving a detailed account of the activities of the Red Horns Division.
