Sixteen insurgents surrender in Manipur

At least 16 insurgents belonging to different outfits on Tuesday laid down arms before Manipur Director General of Police Y Joy Kumar, official sources said.
The insurgents who laid down arms, included three from United National Liberation Front (UNLF), two from People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) and Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) Noyon group.
The ultras laid down six rifles, two M1-6 rifles, two bombs, three pistols of 9mm and several rounds of ammunition.
