Rs 3205 crores Central funds for NE in 5 years

he Northeastern States may be complaining about lack of resources but in the last five years Rs 3205 crore have been released from Non Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR) out of the total budgetary allocation of Rs 3,805 crore.
In a Rajya Sabha reply, Minister DoNER Paban Singh Ghatowar said that his ministry has empanelled institutions for third-party evaluation of completed and ongoing projects and instructions have been issued to State governments to take up third-party evaluation of NLCPR projects for which the ministry would provide funds.
