'Rio govt has failed to protect citizens'
Assam Tribune | Kohima, June 1:
Expressing concern over recent spate of violence in the State, Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has accused the Neiphiu Rio Government of failing to protect the lives and property of its citizens.
Condemning the reported attempt on life of retired Registrar of Cooperative Societies Imtila Jamir on May 27, NPCC in a statement, said the incident only proved that the citizens, particularly women and children, are no longer safe in their own homes, and this opinion was expressed by various NGOs and civil society groups.
