Revelation for the new decade
Praveen Mayanglambam *
Today, when I woke up in the morning. I looked up in the sky and wondered if anyone noticed how vivid and graceful the sky was and then I looked up those trees at the edge of my courtyard.
Strikingly, I saw a single passion fruit hanging amongst the bushy leaves. In this titillating moment, a dove flew above my head and sat it on the tree where the passion fruit plant is coiling.
Mini me muttered ", Hey, this decade is going to be tremendous. Be passion, there will be purity and love". I smiled and hug myself and started my morning routine.
Practicing Qigong is also my morning routine as it helps me to ground myself to mother Earth. After I was done with all the stuff, I went out passing those trees at my colony.
I could smell blissful and vivacity in them. So, I gave a tight hug to a bottle brush tree with a smile on my face and my mini me said, "Thanks for your therapy and oxygen and love to the other living being ".
I was overwhelmed with love despite having hard times during the few months. We are welcoming a new decade, the energy of whole universe is changing and so too I keep with the pace. The mother Earth is revitalizing her sons and daughters through radiation of love and serenity.
On other days, I feel bashful to hug trees on the roadside as people might mistook me as lunatic person. But today, without any reluctant I hug the tree and I wish some of my friends would start practicing it.
Hugging trees increases hormone Oxycontin which is responsible for calmness and emotional bond. It helps to secrete hormones serotonin and dopamine that can make you happier. Hence, it is an effective therapy that we can heal pain and anxiety through nature.
After my lunch, the shower of rain cleaned the face of sons and daughters reviving a healthy glow. On the very first day of the decade, it washed away the dry leaves and dirt from the streets. This created renewal of atmosphere with great anticipation.
Mother Nature invoked me to clean my spirit, environment and all the vibes from last year.
So,in a piece of paper I made a list of good and bad things that happened in the past decade and thanked for all the things and believed that everything happened for reasons irrespective of good and bad, right and wrong, light and dark, heaven and hell.
Later, I crumbled the paper and trashed it. Mesmerizingly, a butterfly just flew in front of me and onto champa plant. Suddenly, I saw the champa flowering. I had been waiting for it to bloom since last month. I went upon the champa and whispered, "I promise... I will spread love ".
Nature being the God mother, she is the teacher as well as the healer for all the living beings. She taught us everyday to love and feel the oneness. But in this busy and materialistic world, it is esoteric thing.
Love is not about recapturing love from the person or the things we love. Love is like loving those trees that are in trance when the wind blows, birds that chirp, loving a squirrel running around the park.
The sun emits the same light to all the creatures but the colors we see in things are reflection of what they radiated. Grass are green because they radiate green. Roses are red because they radiate red.
Likewise, nature distributed sense to all of us. So, it will be in our hands what will be radiated. If we radiate love, we will be reflected as a loving person.
If we radiate hatred, we will be reflected as an antipathetic person.
