Reimagining the North East
Morung Express | New Delhi, February 4 (MExN):
The Centre for North East Studies and Policy Research, Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi today kick-started a three day International Conference on ‘Reimagining India’s North East: Networks, Narratives and Negotiations,’ which will be held till February 6. The conference is a continuation of the last two international conferences which were earlier held at the University of Gottingen in 2011 and the University of Vienna in 2013.
The conference aims to explore themes and issues such as “identity, difference and belonging, contested narratives, migration, cultural transformation and cultural identity and challenging the idea of mainstream.”
