RIMS to start dental course next year

The Centre-run Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (Rims) is likely to begin classes of its long-awaited dental college on its Imphal campus from the next academic session.
"By next year, we are hopeful that the academic session for the dental college would be started as almost all its required components have been put into place," said S Sekharjit Singh, director of the institute on Tuesday.
Except for one teacher, selection of all faculty members and staff of the college has been completed, while the extension of the building is nearing completion, he said adding that all required equipment for the new college have also been procured.
