Present talks not between Nagas & GoI: FGN
Nagaland Post | Dimapur, Sep 13 (NPN)
Federal Government of Nagaland (NNC/FGN-S. Singnya, Kedahge) on Sunday said that the present Naga talks was just between government of India (GoI) and NSCN (I-M) and “not between Nagas and GoI”.
In a press release, FGN’s ministry of Rali Wali Affairs kilonser, K.L. Kronu said, “any solution in this regard that bypasses the general will of the people is dishonourable and unacceptable”.
Raising several points on the issue, Kronu said “unlike NNC, there was no point of time where the Naga people have given their mandate to NSCN (I-M) for negotiating the Naga issue with the GoI or with any other party through their right to speak and the rights of the Nagas have not been questioned.” He added saying that the “consultative meetings do not count as mandate”.
