Poor Nagaland fields rich candidates

For a financially weak state that depends on the Centre for 90 per cent of its funds, Nagaland seems to have more than a handful of well-off candidates. The state, which is going to polls on February 23, has 84 crorepatis in the fray.
The average assets per candidate are a whopping Rs 2.21 crore. In the 2008 elections, the average assets per candidate were Rs 1.74 crore.
